ANCHORING
There is good anchorage in the harbor however…
Anchoring Warning! There is a sunken boat that snags anchors that is not marked on charts. Opposite us in the harbor is a cliff, marked on charts as Steep Point. If you are under the cliff on the west side of the harbor and looking east see the end of D-Dock, our southernmost dock, that is a risky place to drop anchor. We recommend moving north of D-Dock or south of the fuel dock to be safe.
Remember to contact Deer Harbor Marina to Register for your slip. Let them know you're with Gig Harbor Yacht Club. The phone number is (360)376-3037.
