2019 Le Mans Sailboat Race November 16th
25 boats participated in the 2019 Le Mans Race. The rain held off during the overcast day but the winds were very light. After pulling anchor boats slowly made their way through Gig Harbor playing a few light puffs. The lead boats out of the Harbor were able to catch a light northerly and clear towards Colvos passage. Other boats were stalled outside the Harbor entrance in dead wind. Eventually wind from the South kicked in and boats were able to make a spinnaker run up Colvos passage. Due to the light winds the race ended at the Olalla turn mark and boats quickly motored back to a great party at GHYC. Complete results will be added in a link here shortly.
